If you have run out of recipes to make for breakfast or a snack and you are dairy free than this Apple Crisp recipe for you! This is one of my favorite recipes. It’s easy to make and perfect for busy moms. Do you enjoy eating apples? Then you’ll love this recipe. You’ll only need 8 ingredients, and they might already be in your pantry. Let’s dive into this delicious recipe.
How I found the recipe
I would have never known about this dairy free apple crisp recipe if it wasn’t for Pinterest. This is one of my favorite online platforms to find new recipes. If you haven’t looked on Pinterest before, you’ll be amazed with how many recipes you’ll find. I needed something quick and tasty for my kids to eat. So, I decided to make this for breakfast and we ALL love it. It is now in the rotation for breakfast meals.
You can also use this as a dessert or maybe even a snack. I would say this is sweet, but the apples make everything come together. I look forward to eating this for breakfast all the time. Also, in this recipe I added 1 can of peaches. The original recipe just calls for apples.

Ingredients you’ll need for dairy free apple crisp
You will need apples, cinnamon, vegan butter, brown sugar, all-purpose flour, and quick oats.
When choosing our apples we look for organic apples because they are less likely to be sprayed with harmful pesticides. We also use vegan butter because we are a dairy free house. I like to use Country Crock or Miyoko’s. Please take note that a lot of the syrup on the store shelf is not REAL syrup. It is mostly high fructose corn syrup, glucose, corn syrup, caramel color, and maybe more ingredients that can potentially lead to disease.
You may have never even thought about looking at the back of your food products and reading the ingredients. I never did either until a few years ago. Like they always say, “It’s never too late to start.” Unfortunately, lately a lot of the food in the U.S. isn’t what we thought. Making the switch to healthier more wholesome ingredients takes time but is definitely worth it.
As a reminder don’t be quick to compare your health journey to someone else. Everyone is different and will begin their journey at certain times. You have to find your why and then commit. Now let’s get back to the apple crisp.
On the bright side there are plenty of brands that make real, natural maple syrup. Here are a few: Crown Maple, Specially Selected, and, Kirkland’s. These are only a few of the brands that are out there. Your hometown may carry something different, but as long as it states 100% Pure Maple Syrup you’re good to go.

Notes
Making apple crisp is super easy. You can even make it the night before and have it ready for breakfast time. I usually just make it in the morning but making it the night before saves so much time.
Overall
This recipe is one to keep. It can be paired with bacon or sausage and some fruit for a tasty breakfast. Or you can make this as a dessert and serve after dinner. Totally up to you but either way I promise you won’t be disappointed. You can store in the fridge for up to 4 days. If your children are anything like mine, they will eat it all before the 2nd day. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do. Leave in the comments if you have tried this recipe or even have a different version. I would love to give it a try and to know what you think.
